One Woman Shows

The Wonky Shonky Show

“A tale of human disaster combined with adamant optimism, with the audience as an integral part. Sometimes uncomfortable, occasionally entertaining, The Wonky Shonky Show explores themes of entrapment, religion and stolen pianos.”

The Wonky Shonky show was a solo situation comedy, combined with cabaret and storytelling, starting off with Ros handcuffed to a radiator, after losing a game of cards the previous night, with only pink frilly knickers and nipple pasties to protect what was left of her modesty while the audience helped to find her clothes and get her half-dressed in order to attempt the show that they never really get to see.

First performed in SE London’s comedy venue, The Hob, Forest Hill, in 2014.

Through The Hourglass

“Nunhood, narcotics and telepathic cats: The trippy tale of misadventure follows the changeable life missions of the solo storyteller and from aged 4 to the current day; from her childhood ambitions to be a maid to the queen to her “rampant promiscuity plan”, complete with copious amphetamines, to her crashing into the spiritual realm. Along the way, little remains constant, except her love of expression through dance and her ability to amuse herself with speedy hindsight.”

Through the Hourglass, was performed by Rosalind Parker in various London venues in 2013, including the Canal Cafe, Camden People’s Theatre and The Hob, Forest Hill, as a blend of storytelling, physical theatre and dance.

Raw Cake

Comedy. “Written and devised by Rosalind Parker and Bruno Roubicek, Raw Cake is a bold and intimate look at our diversion from all that is considered right, good or true.
Join Ros on this journey to find a sustainable way; from her experiments with self medication and the dark under-world of dance parties, to her immersion in yoga and the enlightened world of the raw food diet. Ros has plumbed the depths of hell and skimmed the surface of nirvana. She has galloped with Hades and frolicked with angels.”

Raw Cake was performed at Sydenham Arts Festival and The Hope, Islington, in 2011.
